2019 East High School Boys Tennis Tryout Information:
The tennis tryouts process will begin on Monday, August 12 at the Lincoln East High School tennis courts. Please bring a water bottle. In order to be eligible to participate in these tryouts, you must have fully completed your East Athletics Activity Packet, which can be accessed through the LPS website (East High School Athletics page). If you have any questions as to whether you are eligible, please contact Donna at the East Athletics Office (402) 436-1313. If you choose to tryout for the Reserves or the Junior Varsity level of the tennis team, you will attend tryouts from 3:00-5:00. If you are choosing to tryout for the Varsity level of the tennis team, you will attend tryouts from 5:00-7:00. All seniors must tryout for the Varsity tennis team. Juniors must make the Junior Varsity tennis team. Typically, we keep 8 to 10 players on each of the three levels. Last year there were 8 on Varsity, 9 on JV, and 10 on Reserves. How we determine who will be on which team will come down to match play competitions. A player's grade level could also come in to consideration as to team placement. Coaches will meet after each tryout day to evaluate results and adjust accordingly. Please try not to stress out over the process. We want all players to put the reulsts out of their head, and just go compete and try your best. The rest will take care of itself.
